Cinanima 2008

                                                                                    

Today I am off to Cinanima, the International Animated Film Festival. It will be held from the 10th to the 16th of November in Espinho (in the north of Portugal). It is still one of my favourite animation festivals from around the globe. One can always see the new films that are out in the national and international competitions as well as interacting, networking and brainstorming with other fellow filmmakers. There is a special cosy atmosphere about this festival, also aided by the charming seaside town that is Espinho. Not to mention the amazing gastronomy - and the unmissable francesinha. This year will be even more special for my MA Film - Wherever You Go There You Are has been nominated for the Young Portuguese Director Prize and the António Gaio Prize (Best Film by a Portuguese Director) alongside some very talented directors. I am flattered and really chuffed, and will have a blast of a week!
